(SAVANNAH, GA), November 12, 2025: Phalarope Inc. has been announced as one of 80+ organizations that were awarded funding through Action for Women’s Health, a $250 million global open call, launched in 2024 to support organizations working to improve women’s mental and physical health around the world. Over 4,000 organizations from 119 countries applied, offering solutions across the lifespan for women. After a rigorous peer and expert review process, 80+ were selected to receive awards ranging from $1 million to $5 million, many of whom have historically lacked access to major funding streams. This funding will have a real impact on women across geographies, life stages, and identities.

Quetzaltenango, Guatemala – The Federation of Regional Agricultural Cooperatives and Miscellaneous Services, Limited Liability, (FECOAR, R.L.), of Guatemala and Phalarope, a U.S.-based non-profit organization dedicated to maternal health, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, signed a formal Cooperation Agreement to establish a new Academy for Sustainable Agriculture and Community Resilience.
In the Field: Rotary & Phalarope – Saving Lives from the Mountains to the Coast, Panama
Phalarope and the Rotary Club of Boquete conducted a field evaluation of the second Rotary Global Grant supporting the implementation of a care navigation program designed to reduce maternal mortality in Panama. The mission reached both mountain and coastal communities, where traditional midwives and healers demonstrated how community-based, intercultural care is transforming access to maternal and newborn health.
