Engineer Lazaro M. Urizar, MBA

Lazaro Urizar was born in Guatemala City. He is an Industrial Engineer with a Master's in Business Administration (MBA). With over 25 years of experience in various fields including manufacturing processes of clothing, automotive parts, quality control, logistics of operation, and technical training for large corporations, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his work.

From 2004 to 2010, Lazaro served as the director of all industrial projects for Estrategias de Inversión, a consulting group in Guatemala City. During this period, he played a key role in developing port regulations, workflows, and preliminary studies for the development of regulations and policies.

Lazaro has also made significant contributions in the academic field. From 2005 to 2016, he served as a professor in the Engineering and Business Departments of Rafael Landívar Universidad, Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (USAC), Atlantic International University (AIU), and Universidad Da Vinci de Guatemala (UDV). In addition, he served as a student advisor in the Free Enterprise Program of Rafael Landivar University, where he focused on promoting technical support to micro-economic enterprises for the production of products in rural areas, specifically in San Juan La Laguna, Rabinal.

Furthermore, Lazaro held the position of Chairman of the Industrial Engineering Division in the Engineering Department of Rafael Landivar University from 2013 to 2015.
