Michael W. Ellison- Secretary
With a background in film production, Michael earned a BA in Business from Montreat College and gained experience at Victory Films in various roles, including assistant camera operator and film loader. He then transitioned to becoming a cinematographer at South Carolina Education Station, showcasing his expertise in lighting and camera work. Seeking new challenges, Michael joined the United States Coast Guard as a shipboard electrician, ensuring the operational readiness of electrical systems on Coast Guard vessels. He later served as a facility electrician at the San Francisco Coast Guard Air Station, where he played a crucial role in maintaining the station's electrical infrastructure. Michael's career then led him to the General Services Administration (GSA) for a 22-year tenure, starting as an electrician and progressing to a property manager. He oversaw the operations of various federal buildings, managing cleaning, maintenance, customer service, and modifications. His responsibilities extended to leased spaces occupied by government agencies. With properties exceeding a million square feet, Michael ensured the proper functioning of HVAC systems and enforced contractual agreements to optimize the government's investments. Throughout his diverse career, Michael has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in film production, Coast Guard service, and property management with the GSA.
